Muscle

Here are a few to follow for your bodybuilding workouts:

Frequency: Choose a 3-day, or 5-day split, and make sure to allow your muscles adequate time to rest and recuperate.
Intensity: For maximal gains, focus on going heavy with high reps. I recommend using the inverted pyramid and get in one to two warm-up sets, and two "work sets" (to failure) per muscle group.
Repetitions: Again, I find the inverted pyramid to work best. It allows to you continually shock your muscles to new levels and helps you avoid hitting the plateau. I start with 12 reps, then on my fourth (work set), I generally do 4-6 reps to failure.
Sets: I do 3-4 sets per muscle group, with at least two of the sets being my "work sets" where I go for maximum intensity (to failure).
Time: I think you should spend enough time as it takes to get in at least two exercises per muscle group. For some muscles, you need three exercises per group, which will take longer. But there's no need to go beyond 4 exercises per muscle group.
